We therefore urge you and your organisation to consider how best you might take the Health Challenge Bridgend agenda forward and in doing so to become our partners as ambassadors for good health. We would be grateful for your confirmation that you are prepared to join us and to hear from you about your plans/thoughts on how you might contribute to meeting the challenge.
You may, indeed, already be involved in activities and initiatives, which support the HCW agenda. If so we would be very interested in knowing what you are achieving because we are keen to share good ideas with others.

In October 2005, the First Minister of the Welsh Assembly Government the Rt. Hon. Rhodri Morgan AM, invited organizations and groups in Wales to declare publicly their backing for Health Challenge Wales. Declaring support for Health Challenge Wales means that the organization or group undertakes to:
- Recognise the importance of good health and well being
- Understand, or seek information on, the factors that affect people’s health and well being .
- Do what it can to help its customers, service-users, employees or members to look after their health and where possible, to improve it.
- Demonstrate support for Health Challenge Wales by using the logo on relevant printed and electronic materials produced for its customers, service-users, employees and/or members.
Health Challenge Wales is based around six key themes that constitute the core of programmes for health improvement. The themes are:
