Integrated Impact Screening Tool
Will a new project improve health?
Will it help make Bridgend greener?
Will it help disadvantaged groups (for example, older people, black and ethnic minority groups)?
A screening tool has been developed within Bridgend County Borough Council that will help staff in consultation with other stakeholders to identify the health, sustainable development, equalities, and community safety impacts of any new policy, project, or development. This will be completed shortly and will be shared widely. Te development of such a tool is a core element of the implementation of the Health, Social Care, and Well Being Strategy and the Councils other major strategies. It ensures that positive and negative impacts are identified at an early stage, and where appropriate mitigating actions can be taken. The screening tool may highlight that other more detailed assessments are required, for example, Health and Equalities Impact Assessments.
