The key gaps identified cover the determinants of health, prevention, and health and social care services. The determinants issues include:

• Increasing the supply of affordable housing
• Maintain initiatives to provide employment
• Continue workplace health initiatives
• Maintain a robust approach to enforcement (underage sales, etc)
• Responding to the challenges of an ageing population
• Continue to tackle inequality, deprivation and inclusion issues especially in Bridgend’s most deprived areas

 

The prevention issues include:

• The need to expand prevention activities across all life style issues
• Maintain activities to prevent falls
• Continue to promote work-place health
• Continue to develop health promotion capacity

The Health and Social Care Issues include:

• Further development of community based services
• Continued development of day opportunity services
• Planning for increased demand
• Further joint service development
