NHS Direct Wales Health, Well Being and Support Services Database
The NHS Direct Wales website now includes a Health, Well Being and Support Services Database. This database contains information about a variety of health and well being services provided locally and nationally, including community groups, befriending schemes, condition specific support groups, transport schemes and chronic condition management services to name just a few. A range of other dynamic services can also be accessed through the NHS Direct Wales website including a bilingual A – Z health encyclopaedia, detailed health information and many other local services searches.
You can access the Health, Well-Being & Support Services Database by visiting the Local Services section of the NHS Direct Wales website at www.nhsdirect.wales.nhs.uk. Alternatively, if you do not have access to the internet call NHS Direct on 0845 46 47, available 24 hours a day, and an information adviser will search for information on your behalf. If you are deaf or hard of hearing you can contact us by textphone on 0845 606 46 47, also available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week or call through RNID typetalk on 1 8001 0845 46 47.
